Math support that is engaging, personal, and nurturing.
Children don't hate math. What they hate is being confused, intimidated, and embarrassed by math. With understanding comes passion, and with passion comes growth - a treasure is unlocked.

Experience

Fifteen years teaching mathematics in the classroom with experience in both middle and high school.

I am a student of my students as I continually refine methods to invite, cultivate, and celebrate thinking in the classroom. My professional interests include pedagogy, cognitive psychology, curricula, teacher development, and educational leadership.

My teaching experience includes both upper and middle school mathematics. I currently teach middle school at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Georgia and previously taught at The American Overseas School of Rome, The International Community School of Singapore, and Marietta High School. I am also an online instructor with AoPS.

For 15 years prior to education, I also worked as an engineer and software developer. My background in engineering and degree in psychology offer a unique lens through which I approach the classroom.
